The wine: As a wine Chardonnay stands apart by virtue of its finesse and elegance. Above all else, it is a wine that deserves to be savoured after one or two years in the bottle. Only then has the subtly spiced fruitiness of the grape had a chance to evolve. Partial maturing in casks emboldens its palette of fragrances, and the palate, sustained by a delightful acidity, brings on a pleasurable sensation of complexity.
